The Department of Recreation and Wellness offers programs, facilities, and services for ODU students, faculty, and staff, retirees, alumni and the community. Aquatics, Fitness & Wellness, Outdoor Adventure, Intramural Sports, and Sport Clubs programming help to provide members with diverse recreation opportunities. The department also offers online experiences that serve all ODU students, including on campus and distance learners, through programs such as. Our Student Recreation Center and University Fitness Center are accessible to all currently enrolled students at no additional charge. In addition to the physical benefits, research states that your participation in recreation has a positive impact on academic performance and social skills. We are committed to offering a variety of recreational engagement activities that will help support and enhance the ODU experience.
